What began as a way to give back something small to the heroes of the 'Greatest Generation' has become somewhat of a journey for me — a journey to not only make portraits of living World War II veterans, but to hear their stories firsthand. Not just reading about the most famous veterans' heroics in books, but also the everyday soldier, sailor, airman, mechanic, nurse, pilot, radio operator, or whomever served in that war that changed the world and to share them with everyone I can. Because everyone needs to know what some of the 16 million plus Americans whom served sacrificed for their country and their families.
